If you are in need of extras, you can reach out to your teacher and ask for some additional number tags or the front office. If you do not have a number tag, we will need to do an ID check for verification.

This event will provide valuable insights into the characteristics of dyslexia, effective strategies used in intervention, and ways families can advocate for their child’s needs.

Hello wonderful thunderbolt familes! I wanted to give everyone an update on times for car rider dismissal. We are now ending between 3:06-3:08 PM daily. We will wait out back with the kiddos until 3:13 PM and then move to the front for late pick up.

Parents just want to give you a heads up on car pick up. The expectations is that all parents MUST have the student tag in their hand. This can not be shown with a cell phone. If you do not have the official tag then staff will need to see your ID and call to the office to verify that you can pick up your child OR you can go to the front office and have them verify there. Student safety is our top priority.

As we maintain our focus on campus safety and security, we wanted to inform you that we will be conducting a LOCKDOWN drill during the week of August 31st. We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.
We will not conduct live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations or sounds.
“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at the front entrance to the school building.
NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DURING THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.

Hello parents and thank you so much for being patient as we start this new dismissal . I do want to clarify some vocabulary that I feel caused a lot of confusion for today.

Walkers-walk home on their own (no tag needed)
Car pick up-parents park their car and walk up with the car tag and wait under the tree. Door 18
Car rider-parent stays in their car and drives through the back with student number. Student is walked to the car.

Please make sure to let your child's teacher know if any changes need to be made for dismissal through email, phone, or note.

The Judson ISD District Site Based Committee (DSBC) is soliciting nominations for the following vacancies for the 26-27 School Year:

• 4 elementary teachers

• 1 non-teaching campus based professional

• 1 business member, 1 special programs teacher

• 1 paraprofessional

• 1 manual trade employee

• 2 parents

• 1 community member

NOMINATIONS WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH FRIDAY NOON, AUGUST 14, 2026

The DSBC is an advisory committee that works with the Superintendent in an advisory role. Nomination forms are submitted by clicking THIS LINK.

The DSBC committee will meet 3 times this year at J-TECH (7990 Pat Booker Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233) from 5:30pm-6:30pm . By completing this form, you are voluntarily accepting to serve on the DSBC, or know that your nominee is interested and willing to serve and make a commitment to attend all meetings listed below. All nomination forms are online, and will be accepted through noon on Friday, August 14, 2026.

Please be advised that if more nominations are received than the vacancies available, we will draw for community, business, and parent names. For school district personnel vacancies, if more nominations are received than vacancies available, we will vote for the seats. Thank you so much!

Dear Thunderbolt families,

The power has gone out in our area. At this time, Elolf is without any power except for emergency lights. All students are accounted for and safe. If you wish to come pick your kiddo up, you may do so. We have an area for check out at set up in front area. Make sure that you bring the car tag or ID. We will let you know when things are back up. District is aware of the situation and is working on it.
